Fishing in Patagonia with Salvelinus
A spectacular fishing tour of some of the best destinations that Patagonia can offer.
This is a spectacular tour because it combines 2 of the most interesting places to fish in Patagonia. These destinations are the result of several years of scouting which eventually yielded destinations for sight fishing trophy trout:
This is a great itinerary, which crosses a large part of the Aysen region in Chile south of the Southern Highway, which marks the border between Chile and Argentina and then, the province of Santa Cruz in Argentina until Lake Strobel reached on Route 40.
Transfers are time consuming but are more than offset by the quality of the fishing, the spectacular scenery and the adventure of the tour itself

”You will never forget the fishing in this river at the beginning and end of the season””
Fishing techniques include: nymph, dry fly during caddis fly hatches – the evening hatches are especially productive, attractor flies like Chernobyls and streamers on floating lines and sometimes sink tip lines.
Both lodges are right next to the fishing spots and in spite of being in one of the most remote regions on Patagonia have an array of amenities.
The first lodge looks like something out of a film and is right on one of the hotspots of the main river. From this deluxe lodge anglers can observe trout surface feeding in the swirls and eddies next to the landing stage.
An array of amenities including premium cuisine from the Chef - Anita. Rooms are spacious and have been recently modernized and the lounge and dining room provide spectacular views of the river and the Northern Patagonian Ice Field.
